David was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. He went to Michigan State University as a National Merit Scholar, and he graduated with Honors in 1991. David attended law school at the University of Detroit Mercy, receiving the President’s Scholarship. He graduated Cum Laude and passed the bar in 1994. After working as a creditor’s rights attorney for more than a decade, David switched his focus to family law in 2008. David joined Mihelich & Kavanaugh in 2023.
David is a proud father of three young adults. He supports the American Red Cross, having donated more than 5 gallons of blood to their worthy cause. In addition, David is a huge fan of the Detroit Tigers and Red Wings, and the Michigan State Spartans.
